The Lizard of Oz

Elliott decided that she wanted to be Dorothy from the "Lizard of Oz" so we thought Berkley would make a cute cowardly lion. I haven't gotten any of them together yet, but here are a few I took of them yesterday separately.

Our Mexico Trip

We went to Mexico for "my best friend since I'm 12" Anne's wedding. Anne, Katie and I have been friends since we were in the 7th grade back in the day. I lived with Anne all through college and we've all three always stayed close. We packed up the family and brought along my parents to go to Anne and Ray's wedding in Cancun last week. She has wanted to get married on the beach ever since I've known her. It was raining so much that we weren't sure if it was going to happen. We got there Wed and it pretty much was rainy and gloomy the whole time. Someone was watching over them though, I'm not kidding when I say that the sky's parted for them to have their beach wedding. It had been sprinkling all morning. It cleared up just in time, and was beautiful. I was a bridesmaid and Elliott was a flower girl. Her third wedding of the summer, she is an old pro now. She was very excited to hear that she didn't have to wear a long dress again, and loved matching mommy.

This is all of us after the wedding. My parents were such a huge help on the trip. They worked hard, the girls stayed in their room with them. They offered and we took them up on it!

Berkley really loved watching the waves, didn't like getting her feet wet in them though. She was a little crabby when this was taken. She did enjoy eating sand though.

Elliott getting ready to hit the pool. She loved that it was one that she could walk into.
This is our group from highschool. Only Robyn, Jill and Becca are missing from the original Cancun crew.
We've figured out how to get good pictures of E, you just have to turn her upside down. She thought she was so big to be able to go to the reception with mommy and daddy while B had to go to bed. She kept asking, "why am I big enough to go to the party?"

This is B on the plane. Dad upgraded Chris and I to first class so we sat up there and enjoyed it with Berkley. They are both such good girls on the plane. Makes it easy to travel with them.

Here we are when we first got to the hotel. We figured out quickly that it wasn't safe for B to be in the sling with her klutz mommy carrying her on the wet ground. Its a miracle that I didn't fall down and break anything (besides a shoe....)

The fair

We took the girls to the fair Saturday, we had a really good time. Right now with them so little our tolerance level is about 2 hours in and out. I'm hoping to some day stay longer, although I'm sure Chris is perfectly happy with his 2 hours at the fair. I think E actually had more fun last year when she was 2. She rode everything last year with no fear I guess she's a little smarter this time. She didn't want to ride much, but she had a good time. I think she especially liked the games where she won junk. B was a real trooper, she just hung out in the stroller taking it all in. She's such a sweet baby.

She didn't like spinning fast in this one"Outta my way buddy"
Sweet Berky hanging out in her stroller with her bottleE and daddy catching a fish

She really wanted to do this slide, I think it was a little scarier than she thought when she got to the top. It took her awhile to come down and she held on for dear life.

E's bible verse

They do a new bible verse every month. I was lucky enough to catch her in a good mood to do it for me. Isn't it adorable? I'm glad she loves school so much and learns so much.

"I will praise Thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made" Psalm 139:14

The Return of Dorian

We got old Dorian back when we went to Ore City last weekend. Its been 6 whole months with no dog and our yard looks fabulous. Although I'm not thrilled to have him back digging in the yard and smearing his dirt and fur all over the house, I did sorta miss him. The girls are thrilled to have him back. E had to buy him tons of things at Target and loves going out back and throwing his ball for him. Berkley can't take her eyes off him and loves to pet him. I haven't taken any pics with him yet but here are some of my favorites of him and Elliott.

Here is E with D when she was about 11 months old.

Here they are last summer he had just given her a big sloppy kiss Here they are in Feb before he left to live with Brandy and the kids.
Elliott has been cracking us up as usual. Her new favorites are "its not fair" and "its not my fault" It is really hard to keep a straight face when she busts out with either of those. I'm sure someday I won't find it so funny, but right now it is too cute. Things that aren't fair include, not being able to have 100 cups of juice a day, not being able to go to Target everyday, having to take a rest, having to eat a banana instead of fruit snacks. My aunt sent her a old school pile of computer paper from my grandpa's house. You know, the kind that is all attached. She of course traveled through the house leaving a nice trail. I didn't get mad or anything, I just picked it up and put it on the shelf since we were about to have dinner. She ran to her room (another favorite) screaming that it wasn't her fault. I almost died laughing.

Miss Berkley's new trick is shaking her head no and smiling. It is so cute, I spent a good 20 minutes trying to get it on video yesterday, but had no luck. I think she's tiring of it already. I love her little laugh, E likes to lay her head on B's belly and Berkley likes to pull her hair and laugh. It is so wonderful to watch them together, Elliott is such an awesome big sister.
