A little Taser post

I just had a few cute pics of Berkley I thought I would share. This kid is every bit as hilarious as her sister is.

This is her duck face. She is really hamming it up here.

She found this hat one morning and wore it forever. (Note the dress up clothes over the pajamas)
This is one day last week when E was at school. I gave her a bowl of Lucky Charms for a snack- I went off to another room to do laundry. I noticed it was overly quiet. Which is usually never a good thing. I came out to find her on the automan sorting the cereal. All the marshmellows are in the bowl and all the cereal is tossed aside. Pretty smart if you ask me!

Sweetest Song Ever

Elliott was making up a song about Berkley and singing it to her- I managed to get the camera in time to record it. If this doesn't melt your heart I don't know what will! Be sure to listen to the whole thing, it gets even more hilarious as it goes on. I love how B is singing along, then giggling about everything E loves about her, then says NO! when E mentions her mullet. Priceless.

By the way- I am up late B just woke up and she is crying in her room saying "Mama I want dress up"

Random

Two posts in three days? Can it be true??? I also finished my HUGE pile of laundry thanks to a little help from my favorite boy.

Here are some random pictures from the past few days. I have a few hilarious videos too I need to work on getting uploaded.

Tonight I got a little angry over the constant trail of toys thrown all over the house. After cleaning everything up E was spinning in the playroom. I told her I just couldn't handle the mess that this house is always in. E didn't miss a beat and replied with "yeah, but can you handle this?" referring to her spins. She really wasn't trying to be sassy- just funny. She is like her Dad doesn't matter how mad I am she can always get a laugh with her witty remarks.

Here is Berkley at Jason's Deli the other night. She is in a phase where she HAS to have dress up stuff on all the time. It is a huge battle. One that I choose carefully. She wore her dress up outfit all day. She even wants to wear it to bed. We've drawn the line there and right now she is borrowing a princess nightgown of Elliott's until we get to the store to get her one of her own. The other night Chris said "you sure like to dress up Berkley" she said "yes. makes me feel pretty" Did I mention her talking has exploded?? There have been many funny gems from her lately!
Amanda and Rylee met us there. Rylee and E love each other so much! E takes care of her and Ry thinks she is the best. This is Ry's new face it cracks me up every time!
We got to visit 2 of our great friends this weekend in Houston. It was such a good time! Here are the girls with Cole.
This is E with our other friends little girl Kaylie. They had a great time together and Kaylie is such a sweet girl. As soon as she met me she ran in and asked if she could hug me. How cute is that?
E and B on VDay
E making her Valentines. I just sat her down with her cards and her class list. I can't believe she is big enough to do them all on her own now!!
E really wanted a tool belt. So I punched some holes in some old socks and we tied them around a belt with ribbon. Here she is modeling my creation.

Snow Day (A week late)

I have been out of control with doing my chores lately. Not only has my blog been neglected but laundry duties have fallen by the wayside too. My children have no pajamas, my husband has no socks. We had to go out to eat tonight because I forgot to thaw out dinner. I am a mess! So just know that I am not just partying and laying around while not updating my blog, I am also not doing anything else I'm supposed to do either!! Hopefully I will get some better time management skills soon :-)

We had a big snowstorm last week. Record breaking in TX. We got a whole foot of snow!! I am sure that is just a normal Monday up in Michigan but here it was something to celebrate! I have never ever seen such wonderful packing snow down here. It was fabulous! The pictures are very out of order.

J called around lunchtime to say he was getting off work early and wanted to know if we could go sledding. Lucky for E and I, Chris was home working so while B was taking her nap (or not taking as the case may be). J (my brother) E and I scouted and found some big hills to sled down. Then we came home and made a huge snowman. There was even snow on the ground the next day for a whole day in the snow again. As fun as it was, I wouldn't want to live in it. We were totally unprepared. The girls were wearing my gloves, I was wearing Chris's gloves- we had to put stuff in the dryer each time we came in so it would be ready to go out again! Maybe next year I will invest in some winter clothing for my kids. We usually don't need it down here!

This snowDRAGON was made the second day. By E- all by herself! She insisted on rolling and putting the balls on top of each other all by herself. Quite impressive!

E kissing one of her creations. I think she probably made about a dozen that day. E and B standing with the huge snowman uncle J helped them build Building the snowman
B didn't spend a ton of time outside- she is like her daddy when it comes to the cold! This is J pulling E back to the car after sledding (our sled is a storage bin lid wrapped in a trashbag) Classy. but it worked!
E going down the hill
J and E going back up- the first time he pulled her up, but after that she didn't' trust him. She rode up on her tummy and he circled her around and sent her head first. Quite funny for J and I- not so funny for E. I was at the bottom waiting though-there was no danger
E and her snow angel
Me at the bottom of the hill. Quite fun! Funny story about this coat- Chris had the same one. I thought I gave mine to goodwill- turns out I didn't. He's still not too happy with me.
J tried snowboarding....didn't work.
He cleared the way for our sled

January Catchup

We didn't have a very busy month. Lots of playing around the house and no real plans. Which has been a nice change of pace.

I had my 31st birthday. Yuck! E made it fun though. She woke me up and had created a hunt for me to find my present. Super Mario Brothers for the Wii! I played video game all morning, quite exciting! Then we went to my parents house to hang out and go to dinner. E and her buddy Gracie that lives across the street. They had been trying to get together for weeks. Our schedules are opposite- E goes to school T Th and Gracie goes M W F. They had a great time playing together and they are very excited to go to Kindergarten together next year.We got to meet up with our Ft Worth Friends for Ben's 3rd Birthday. I still cannot believe he is 3. The girls had a great time at Chuck E CheeseB still doesn't quite understand the rules.....We celebrated E's 4 and a HALF birthday on the 27th. She wanted everything the same as her 3 and a half bday- so we spent the day in our jammies hanging out. The girls made a brownie cake. They really enjoyed eating the batter off the spoonsAnd making silly facesCan't believe my baby is halfway to 5Even Grammy and Rylee got to come hang out with usOpening half wrapped gifts
Berkley is my little helper. She loves to mop, vacuum and dust the blinds. I wonder if she still will in about 10 yearsWe got to babysit cousin Rylee a little bit- I wanted a picture of B and Ry. Berkley was not into it- I told her she could have a piece of candy if she let me take a picture. I love the look on her face!
She looks like she is looking for trouble
Ry thought she was so big eating at the table with Berkley
They did this all on their own watching Dora
