Movie Watching Party

Elliott came in my room Tuesday night and said she had a great idea. She wanted to have a movie watching party with popcorn and apple juice. She told me to invite all the kids I know and tell them to bring their favorite movie. We decided that all the kids we know was too many so she just chose a few to come over. Luckily nobody had anything going on Wednesday morning so they all made it. She chose the movie Cars, which was great since so many boys were there.
Here they are decorating paper bags to put their popcorn in
The whole group
Watching the movie lasted for about 20-30 minutes until everyone was out of popcorn. Then they just ran around playing and went outside We had pizza after the party- they were all having so much fun, I have no idea what they were laughing about.
Elizabeth and Josh Ben and Zach Such a fun day! Berkley woke up from her nap and wondered where everybody came from, maybe that is why she having such a hard time napping she is afraid of what she is missing!

Swimming in our new pool

We got a new pool last week. It is nice and big so E has lots of room to play around. E and I spent every day last week hanging out back there while Berkley napped. I laid in the sun while she played. The pool is still too cold for me, I guess that means I'm old. We haven't been out this week though since she has swimming lessons every day.

I taught her how to sit in her tube. I think she's ready to go float the Guadalupe.
Paddling around in the sponge bob tube. Here she is being crazy spinning aroundBerkley came out but was not in the mood for photosThey are just so sweet together. E was pushing her in her swingI love how Es foot is kicked back here

Fits

This is one of about 10 fits Berkley threw inside of an hour today. I think this one was due to an empty juice cup. She lays face down on the floor and screams. It is highly entertaining to me and I don't think she realizes that it doesn't help her cause yet.

Lazy Baby Walks!

Berkley is 14 months old now. She is so much like me, she has the "if I can't win I don't want to play" attitude. She will usually try things a couple times and if it doesn't happen for her she's over it and on to something else. She really hasn't even attempted taking steps up until now. She is so fast with her crawling she has no desire to walk. She has even learned to only use one hand so she can carry things. Quite smart if you ask me :-) Chris was helping her walk to me this morning, he let go and I don't think she even realized she walked on her own until she got to me and my excitement. Now she is so very proud of herself! I'm just very excited because 1) It is summer and we are outside a lot I don't like her crawling on the dirty ground 2) The spider crawl scrapes up her legs 3) I have lots of cute long dresses for her that are hard to crawl in.

So here is a little video of our Frankenstein baby. I love the look on her face after the 3rd walk. Priceless. If I remember right she'll be everywhere in a couple weeks.

Babies and Baths

Rylee and Amanda came over to see us on Tuesday while we were visiting my parents. We enjoyed having some Rylee snuggle time. E loves her "baby Rylee"When we came home that night, Berkley got her baby and a bottle and sat in her chair to feed her. How adorable is that? She saw Rylee with her bottle and knew exactly what to do....if babies bottles went in their eyes maybe we could even let her feed Rylee sometime. Berkley loves wearing necklaces. E did too at that age so we have tons. She even had to take them in the tub! E took a shower with me the other day and wanted a towel on her head like me. Such a big girl!

Ducklings

We went over to my parents house yesterday to spend the night and hang out. My mom thought it would be a good idea to go feed the ducks at the pond by their house so we walked over there with the girls. We were approaching the ducks when a huge one flew right at us. A little scary! We figured they were trying to keep us away from the ducklings. Once they saw we had food they were our BFF's. They came at us from all directions, we didn't bring enough food so we had to make a call to my dad to bring some more. It was so cute! I couldn't believe how close they let E get to the ducklings.

She looks like the 6th baby duckling here doesn't she? Here are the babies taking a swim. Berkley thought they were so cute, she kept quacking
I had to include this one of the mullett.....
E got close up to the ducks And even chased one......until I stopped taking pictures and told her to stop :-)

Where in the world is Berkley Mae?

My little Berkley, doesn't she look just like all these bald big blue eyed baby dolls? This all started because she and Elliott were playing with baby dolls and she had to hoard them.
She did all this on her own. I like the look on her face here, like she is daring anyone to take one of her babies. Little Mama Berk protecting her babies. E had to get in on the baby doll picture taking action too.
They are so funny. They have started fighting a little bit over which baby they want. We only have about 50 dolls and they always want the same ones. Berkley has some twin dolls too, so you would logically think that they could each have one and they look the same right? Nope, E wants the one with the LIGHT pink shirt that B happens to have. Ahhhh. I should be crazy in a few short months.

Sea World

We took a family trip to Sea World over the weekend. We had a blast! It was so nice for all of us to get away together. Elliott has been asking to go to a hotel for months. I guess she really likes staying away from the house too.

E had fun feeding the dolphins. I was shocked that she actually held the fish to do it. So out of character for the girl that screams if she sees a worm on the sidewalk. Berkley had fun being up close to the dolphins too.
We saw 2 shows. Our favorite was the Sea Lion show where they were trying to find out who stole the fish. Then we saw the Shamu show. The girls really enjoyed both of them. Berkley clapped with her feet. Here is B watching the Shamu show, she was getting very tired. I loved how she had her little arm up by her face.

Here are Chris and E in the aquarium. E was being a little uncooperative, I told her if she smiled she could have a snack. Who says bribery doesn't work? Chris took Berkley back to the hotel for a nap (that she refused to take) So E and I stayed at Sea World and did all the big girl things. There was a huge rope ladder and tunnels that we did twice (the second time was under protest from me- it was so far to climb around and I couldn't let her go by herself) We also rode the Shamu express roller coaster 8 times. She loved it so much- her little giggle was priceless.
Our hotel was so nice. It had an indoor/outdoor pool with 2 water slides, a lazy river, a beach and a playground. So we spent all the time we weren't at Sea World hanging out there. The 4 of us made one lap around the lazy river together, E wasn't a huge fan of it so her and daddy hung out at the beach part of it while Berkley and I took a few more laps around. Berkley loved it, they had music and she was on her knees on my stomach dancing around. That girl is going to be a party girl someday....

The hotel also had s'mores on Friday night. It was Elliott's first time to roast a marshmellow and have one. She thought it was pretty great!
My two little dolphins in the poolChris and I had a lot of fun on the water slides. They were so fun! Berkley spent an entire afternoon pouring tea at the pool. It amazes me how long she can spend doing the same thing over and over and be completely entertained.Chris and E at the lazy river. E was shaking her bootie for me while I was taking the picture. E in the pool with her tube
Daddy and B at the beach All of us the night before we left. Such a great trip! E and I tried to convince Chris that we needed to just move in there. I really enjoyed the maid service :-)

Berkley's First Painting

I decided to take the girls out to paint yesterday. Berkley hasn't gotten to paint anything yet, so I thought it would be best to take all our cool stuff outside and let her go. I knew it would be messy and I knew I'd probably regret it about 5 minutes in, but I figured they would have a good time and it would kill the afternoon for us. It did, 30 minutes of painting and 45 minutes of cleaning up kids and paintbrushes :-) I hope it comes off the driveway!

Elliott was having fun painting with her feet. She got a little wild with it and ended up slipping and falling. Messy little baby toes. Berkley loved the green. Its the only color she really used, and she really enjoyed putting her feet in the paint. Elliott thought Berkley looked cool so paint covered that she painted herself. I didn't anticipate that. Here's Berkley and her Jolly Green Giant legs. She had so much fun and threw a huge fit when we had to go back inside. So I'd call it a success! Here she is washing off. We had to drain the water twice. And scrub a lot.
