Jamie and Rachel's wedding was this past weekend. It was such a busy fun weekend. We had the rehearsal on Friday, both families over at my parents house all day Saturday and then the wedding Sunday night. It was all so much fun! Rachel has a wonderful fun family and we all really enjoyed hanging out with them. A lot of our family was able to make it down from MI, E had a blast playing with her cousins Chase and Carter. Elliott was a wonderful little flower girl, I did have to bribe her to let us put her hair up- apparently she was not impressed with my updo and didn't want one of her own.
Rachel was absolutely beautiful, and she had the coolest pink high heels. I can't wait to see the pictures! My brother looked so handsome. They are such a cute couple and they love each other so much. It was such a great day. I'm so happy for them and so happy that Rachel is officially family, even though she really has been since the day we met her.
The ceremony was outside, and it really wasn't bad for a hot August day. It was all in the shade. All the bridesmaids made it down the aisle without incident, although Amanda said she tripped a little bit. Tucker, Jamie and Rachel's dog, was so excited to get to the wedding that he broke free of Elliott and ran with her chasing behind him. Luckily Chris had time to go back and catch him to give back to E. It was so cute!
The reception was a blast, as I'm sure everyone knows, we know how to drink! Elliott had fun dancing around and checking her reflection out in the windows. She also really enjoyed the ice sculpture and snagging ice chips from it. I did a ridiculous amount of dancing, and I'm hoping that too much of it wasn't caught on video and film. I do remember being out there doing the Electric slide (which I have no idea how to do) holding my cousin Chase, that should be cute- everyone doing the steps together while Chase and I stumbled around!
