First Soccer Practice

We had E's first soccer practice tonight. She has been waiting a long time for this day! She loves to go down to the soccer fields by our house and watch the big kids practice. She's been asking to play since last spring when she was 2. I started telling her weeks ago that when she played soccer she was not going to be able to wear a dress and she had to have her hair up. At first it made her fly into a rage every time I brought it up (which was quite funny to me....maybe the reason why we talked about it so much). Over time she got used to the idea that it had to be that way. So we got into sweats and pigtails with no major meltdowns. The best was our conversation about my attire. I had on a long sleeved tshirt that I had worn to the gym earlier.

E "Are you planning on changing?"

Me "Yes I probably should change my shirt before we go"

E "Good because you look pretty weird."
