Mud Run

 I did a mud run with my girls from Ft Worth. We've all been friends since our first babies were born.  It was 6 miles long with 28 obstacles (I think). It was SO MUCH FUN! We kept saying we couldn't believe we were voluntarily getting in this stuff.  The picture above was obviously before we started- our group name was "Momtourage" one of the girls makes shirts so we all matched. I was glad because pretty much everyone was part of a group with matching shirts. It was fun to see all the different names people came up with.

This was the first obstacle.  I was really worried about the water being freezing but it really wasn't too bad! This is Tida and Victoria, with Janet peeking through

 This is so sad.  We had to swim across the river. It was pretty hard even if you could swim because with tennis shoes on it felt like you had bricks on your feet. Laura M and Vanessa were way behind and they looked so cute huddled up together on the rope. I went back to take a picture. Apparently they can't swim! I saved them ;-) Leave it to us to leave the 2 girls that can't swim on their own!

 This was the first getting dirty part, we had to military crawl through this mud

 Then there was a long river of mud to run/walk through.

 We jumped into this pit. So fun but, Ew!! I felt like I had dirt in my eyes.

This one was really fun- just going across the river running and jumping over the cracks

 Janet made it over this huge wall.  I jumped up put my hands on the top and couldn't pull up, then one of the guys gave me a boost, I peeked over, saw the drop and decided against it.

My other favorites were rolling down a huge hill- so fun! There was another one where you had to climb mounds of dirt, slide down the other side wade through water and do it again. The last one was huge and they had a tarp over the slide part so it was super fun and really fast. I just didn't like going under water. So gross! I am still waiting on pics of all of us after the run totally filthy. They had a fire truck there to hose us off.  All in all so much fun- I can't wait to do it again next year!
