Talent Show and San Antonio

We had a busy busy weekend!  Friday Elliott had the Talent show at school. She did a circus act with her friend Gracie from across the street. Gracies' big sister Ellen and one of her friends were the Ringmasters and Elliott and Gracie were the cats.  They had a lot of fun getting ready for it and performing for their classmates.
Here's the video. I apologize for the horrible quality.  I was trying to watch it not through the camera and didn't do a very good job recording. Chris taped with our regular camcorder so hopefully he did a better job!

Right after the talent show we took E out of school to head down to San Antonio for a long weekend. Here's Patton and E at lunch. Berkley was being uncooperative with the picture taking.
We got to the hotel and immediately got out our swimming gear to head down to the pool.

My little friend Patton was pretty worn out. He cried off and on the WHOLE way- minus a 45 minute nap.  Unfortunately he is an attention hound and can't stand to be alone.  The girls played with him a lot so that helped. But man is it brutal to ride with him! The way back was a little better. We hope we are slowly breaking his spirit ;-)

Chris talked Berkley into going down the water slide with him. Sadly for her he took her on the indoor one which is super fast and twirly. She was so sad! The picture is blurry but it sums up the mood.  Poor baby though, I went down it the next day and realized how terrified she must have been. It was so fast- and fun! The outside one is fun too but a little slower.

Patton passed out as soon as we got to the pool so the two of us just hung out on the side watching Chris and the girls.

I am extremely talented with the camera and sleeping baby if I do say so myself.
The girls were wiped out that night. They got to stay up late to watch part of a movie on the lawn.
Saturday we went down to the River Walk in the morning.  We were so lucky with the weather- earlier in the week the forcast said it would be in the mid 90's. Luckily it was only in the mid 80's and pretty chilly in the mornings! If you live in TX you know how lucky that is this time of year. When we went the same weekend 2 years ago it was in the 90's the whole time!

We went on a boat tour. The girls enjoyed the first 10 min or so. Chris and I thought it was very interesting. Patton enjoyed his cozy ride in the sling. I don't know what I'd do without that thing. He probably spent a total of 15 min in the stroller the entire trip!
Poor Berkly didn't get her 12 hours of sleep the night before

After the River Walk it was back to the hotel for more swimming! Patton even got his swim gear on this time.
Unfortunately he was too tired for poolside fun and had to take a nap in the stroller. I guess I lied about the stroller time. He did take a whole 30 min nap in it ;-)

Much much more in the next post. I took way too many pictures!

Love that you guys went back again! I wished we had! Elizabeth missed too many days of school this year though - maybe next year! Patton is getting so big - and adorable! I loved Elliott's show - she did such a great job! That girl is not shy - is she? Elizabeth would have never gotten up in front of all those people!

Wild Oak Ranch! Such a great place to stay. Elliott's hair cut is super cute.
