Halloween

In Breaking news Patton is starting to crawl! He finally figured out how to flip over and move that arm - so he can also get himself up to sitting from laying down.  He has been so pleased with himself that for a whole week he wouldn't take his nap without being rocked to sleep.  Usually he can just be put in his bed with his paci and blue dog but since he figured this trick out I find him sitting up playing in his bed. Rubbing his eyes. One time I swear he was almost asleep sitting up when I went to check on him.  The novelty has worn off and bedtime is back to normal- until he starts pulling up in his crib I'm sure ;-)
Elliott and Owen had fun dressing up together

My sweet little taser was working on an art project in the buff
Sunday night we invited all the neighbors over for a big pumpkin carving. It was SO MUCH FUN.  All of us kept saying it over and over again. Refer back to our post HERE and scroll down to see just how much fun Chris had last year.

Here's P sitting in the pumpkin patch before it all got started.
I never managed to get a pic of all 4 of them working on it.  I think I was too busy talking and drinking wine ;-)
Amanda, Brad, Rylee and Eli came over to join in the fun too
This was actually before it got super busy- we had both sides of the tables full of pumpkin carvers
All our little jack o lanterns lit up
All the kids (minus Berkley) with their creations
 The kids enjoyed the snacks
 Patton helping along

Halloween my kids were the Wizard of Oz again- look at this 2008 POST from when we did it the first time.  I wanted to make the pics all pretty but I'm buried in editing - I'm sure you don't mind ;-)

We went over to the neighbors for a pot luck dinner before trick or treating.  Our neighbor was dressed as the tin man with his own Dorothy- Patton was terrified- he kept a close eye on Paul all evening. Of course I had to have a picture of it.  Side note- Chris and I were supposed to be the tin man and scarecrow.  The tin man costume was one size fits most.  Not so much. Paul is a good several inches shorter than Chris and he couldn't close the back without making the costume obscene.  Chris looked obscene in it with the back open so we had to send them back.  My dream of the whole family being dressed up together died.  Maybe next year!
Grammy and Papa came over to check out the kids in their costumes too!
The best for last- my favorite picture from Halloween 2011 :-)
For those of you that ask me how I do it all? The answer is, I don't.  This was only half of the regular laundry I had stacked up.  When everyone in the house is out of underwear it is time to do something about it.  Luckily I had a "helper"
