I just read my little list of what Berk was doing on her birthday last year. It pretty much needs to be copied and pasted because not much has changed! I'll try to come up with a few new ones.
She loves school. I think if I would let her go every day she would. I think she'll be going every day soon enough and needs to spend time at home driving me crazy instead :-)
She has boyfriends galore. It must be something with the class she's in, E's classes really never have done the boyfriend/girlfriend thing. Oh Miss Berkley's class does. (That's what her friends call her because that is how the teacher says every one's names). One week its Dean, the next week its Alex. I ask her what happened to Dean and she says she's done with him. Today she told us that Sebastian asked her to be his girlfriend and she said yes and the wrapped their arms around each other and skipped. HOW CUTE IS THAT? Although I really don't think she needs boyfriends at 4.....Chris sure isn't a fan.
If you noticed her cute short hair cut, she had been growing her hair out for awhile. She wanted it to be as long as Rapunzel. Chris was going to get his hair cut and she really wanted to get hers cut too. We asked her what happened to growing her hair like Rapunzel and she said she didn't want it to dip in the toilet when she went potty. Valid concern- although she needed to grow it for about 15 more years before that happened.
She LOVES her daddy. Common theme around here I suppose. E is still a mama's girl though so I'll hold onto that and P has come around to my team quite a bit. Berkley- no way. Strait up Daddy is her favorite.
She has been so excited about turning 4. I asked her if she could stay 3 for me for a little while longer because she is growing up too fast. She told me "Don't worry mama, I will still love you when I'm 4"
She loves to play princesses, she can make up an entire world and get engrossed in it for hours.
She is lazy and stubborn. Can I say that in a sweet blog about my birthday girl? Oh well, I did. I mean it with love though....She loves to act helpless, and its my fault for letting her get away with it, she'll just take so long to get dressed or do whatever that I either do it for her at the start or end up doing it for her. She'll try something once and then its "I can't". We've put a stop to that though and she really is proud of herself when she does things. Even if it takes an hour and lots of crying to get it accomplished :-) She's finally getting herself dressed (although for some reason she STILL can't see in the dark and always wants someone to come turn her light on- I keep telling her I don't understand why not- I wonder how old she'll be when she realizes that nobody can see in the dark!).
She is hilarious. She loves to dance around and do silly moves. I love her laugh and how her little face lights up when she laughs.
She loves to color and draw. Art projects are a big hit too, we need to start doing more of that.
She gets very offended by pet names. For some reason I can't call anyone in my house by their names. Its always something different and silly. Today I started calling her "short stack" I love when she gets all riled up and says "I'm not that name!"
She hates Cheese. Hates. Only its fine if its cooked, like queso or quesadillas. But not on a burger. Its an interesting hatred if you ask me. She always tells me for lunch she wants a "ham sandwich with no cheese just mayonnaise". I'll tease her and say a "wait what was it? A cheese sandwich with mayo? A ham sandwich with extra cheese and mustard?" She gets so riled up every time it cracks me up. Chris always tells her mommy is just teasing you to calm her down. Hmmm. maybe that's why she likes him better.
Maybe I'm just getting her ready for life with a brother. With as riled up as she gets about getting teased she's going to be fresh meat all the time for him and his friends. P has already started tackling her and taking her down. He'll come up beside her, pull her hair and when she bends towards him he'll grab a handful with the other hand and take her to the ground. Poor kid has to be saved from him at least a couple times a week.

Oh my I can't believe that Berkley is 4 already! Where does the time go! I still think of her as that girl who won't leave your side (except to put on princess clothes) and hardly ever talked! The last couple times we saw her she was talking a mile a minute! She's really growing up!!!
Such a cute post. I love how real you are! Your blog is a breath of fresh air! Happy birthday Berkley! Here's to learning to see in the dark! Ha! Sweet sweet girl :)
