I realize that I still haven't even caught up on vacation pictures- but school has started and I had to get the girls pics from that up! Elliott started 2nd grade last Monday. I cried when we went to the 2nd/3rd grade hallway instead of the k/1st hallway. Then I cried more because I realized that next year I would be back in the K/1st hallway with Berkley. I wonder how long until I don't cry on the first day of school anymore.
Here's her silly picture
Her adorable picture
Her backpack picture. Look how tall and grownup she looks!
Just like last year it was time to lose a few teeth for the first day. I think she looks so cute!
Seriously! Look at that smile :-)
Maybe closer? I tell her all the time to show me her teeth, she just looks too cute! Pretty soon she's going to have her big teeth smile- which if she takes after me will be equally adorable because she'll look like a bunny- gotta grow into those!
I'll let you take a guess who was in charge of getting Patton ready. How embarrassing....in his too small pj's from last year. But at least he has shoes.
The little crew walking in for the first day. My neighbor's 4th grader wouldn't let her go with him at all for drop off this year, and he wouldn't let his dad walk him in. That will be a sad day. I'll probably cry.
Elliott with her best buddy Owen that is our neighbor. We didn't run into Ellen and Grace for our usual first day pic :-(
Wouldn't be the first day without Berkley dropping E off at her desk.
Today was Berkley's turn! Let me tell you, this little girl has been so excited about going back to school. She had a countdown chart in her room because she just couldn't stand it- everyday she would come tell us how many days were left before she got to go back. She moved to a different school this year- one with longer days- she goes 9-2 and gets to pack her lunch like a big kid. She told me I could take 4 pictures. After the first click of my camera she said "That's one" I snuck in about 14.....
So cute!
Silly pose
Walking in with Daddy
Rylee is going to the same school as Berk this year- they were happy to run into each other before they went to class- they aren't in the same class, first of all because they are a year apart and secondly because the teacher would probably quit if she had both of them together.
Waiting for the doors to open
Attempt at a picture with P- he's not much for posing for pics these days.
Before the girls go back to school each year I try to have a special day with them, they got to pick what they wanted to do. Berkley has been dying to go to the American Girl Doll Store since her first visit back in March where she got Marie Grace for her Birthday. She saw the doll salon and was very excited about taking Marie Grace to get her hair done. She strapped Marie Grace into Patton's seat (don't judge him on his flowers- its an extra seat in daddy's car)
The Doll Salon- if cutting people hair doesn't work out for Aunt Ray she can definitely get a job here( it costs almost as much as getting people hair done).
She was SO excited though- totally worth it.
We went to lunch in the AG Bistro- where they served Marie Grace lemonade (that Berkley drank) then brought Berkley a tiny pitcher to give her doll refills. She told me it was the "Best Day Ever" I thought it was pretty fun too!
For Elliott's special day the 2 of us went to Hawaiian Falls, she was super brave and rode a couple of slides that she wouldn't ride last year- we still have a few more to conquer but overall she did awesome. Plus she didn't scream on the tube slide like her mommy did.
