This was way back in June. And I JUST edited these. Way back in June there were huge sunflower fields everywhere. I'd never seen anything like it! There were always people out taking pics in them even though there were no trespassing signs everywhere. Of course it was a dream location and I asked if any of the kids wanted to take pics there. The other two had absolutely no interest but Berkleys little ears perked up and she said she would love to. It was just kinda a passing idea as we drove by but she didn't let me forget it. I think everyday she asked if she could take pics in the sunflowers. She had a new dress that she was itching to wear since it was too fancy for everyday. She put it on- came down and asked for me to put her hair in a bun and then asked if we could do pics that day. How could I say no?!
It was only 150 degrees outside- even though we waited until the sun was as low as we possibly could it was still so hot! We had fun taking pics together and as we left I was feeling a little itchy. It occurred to me that maybe I should have put bug spray on us since 150 degrees + tall grass=chiggers. Which I had the pleasure of coming in contact with the previous summer while shooting pics for a family- 80+ bites later and I never left home without bug spray or reminding my clients to use bug spray. I guess since it wasn't a client it didn't occur to me. 115+ bites later and I don't think I'll forget again. Poor Berkley- I thought she was safe because she didn't have the bites the next day- but a full week later they popped up everywhere! I had lots of sympathy for the insane itching since I had just been through it.
I think that's what took me so long to edit these- I can't even look at them without itching ;-)
So many cute ones though- and I decided to include them all! She is just such a sweet little princess.
She was done here- I think she was probably saying "how many pictures do you have to take?" If I had to guess.
Yep- giving me the stink eye. Think she's done.
