Finally! We tried when she turned 2 just like we did with Elliott but it was a serious nightmare. I spent 2 days cleaning up accidents. After talking to a friend that went through it for 2 weeks and was still unsuccessful, I decided to give it up and wait awhile. Glad we did. I've been waiting for E to start school so B and I could just stay home and make it all about potty training. She did great the first day and by the second day we were able to get out of the house for her prize. I had to bribe her because she kept wanting to put a diaper on so I told her we could go shopping for new shoes (that she needed anyway- I'm tricky like that).
This might be a little gross. But its funny. She kept asking for a diaper the second day, and I was pretty sure it was because she needed to poop. Finally I left her on the potty with a book. When I came back she looked terrified. I saw she had and she said it was scary. The next time she went she told me "I fought (thought) I was going to pee!"
We take the potty with us everywhere for the first few days, just to be sure we don't run into a situation where we can't get to a potty! I also have 2 spare outfits and panties in baggies in the car but we haven't needed them yet! She's wearing her new shoes in this pic- they are light up twinkletoes she runs and stomps everywhere in them. Its so cute!
In other news. Elliott loves school. She comes home happy and telling us all about what she did everyday. She's learned several songs and new dances and she loves to perform them for us. I can't believe how much she has memorized already! We walked her to class the first 3 days. By day four she said she was ready for me to drop her off. I needed to go to the office for something though so I told her we needed to come in. She said she'd walk us to the office but for me not to walk her to class. Yesterday I dropped her off in the carpool line. I almost cried. She looked so big walking off with her backpack all by herself. As I'm driving off I"m craning my neck to watch her and be sure she goes in the right door. When I picked her up she told me she almost cried when she got in the school and she'd like me to keep walking her in. Fine with me :-) I even got a note in her folder that she is such a well mannered child and has been the best behaved during read aloud story time. So proud of her! Also, I got the call yesterday that I get to be Room Mom for her class. We are both SO excited!
It feels strange to only have one kid at home. I forgot how easy it is! Berkley and I miss Elliot but we've been having a nice time hanging out together and we've met up with Amanda and Rylee a couple times this week to play.

I've been having to drag both girls out of bed every morning and B out of bed from her naps. Elliott has been asking since Tuesday when she gets a day off. Berkley played in her bed yesterday instead of taking a nap so since we had extra time and it was only 91 (instead of 104) I decided we would walk to school to pick Elliott up. Its only a mile each way but I'm certainly not doing it again until it drops 10 degrees!
Can you tell she didn't need a nap?
(Thats water from her sippy cup in the stroller- looks like something else!)
When I put E to bed last night she told me NOT to wake her up in the morning. My how the tables have turned. Bahahaha!
