E Bops' Birthday Bash

So we had about 50 people in our backyard on a balmy 108 degree afternoon. Jealous?  It really was fun! Our yard is shaded by the house in the afternoon, so its not near as hot as it could be- you gotta expect a little sweat down here.  Brandy, Greg, Madison and the boys drove in Friday night to be here for the party.  I think those boys had more fun than anyone on the slide.  We blew it up about an hour before the party and E, Madison and the boys had a good time with it.

Here's Dakota and Dustin swinging (and throwing) Dillon down it
This is my favorite pic of the three of them.  They were having a blast coming up with different ways to go down the slide, and enjoying having me there with the camera to catch them all.
E bop got really brave too- after watching the boys she was jumping from the top to the middle.
See how far she'd get before she landed?
Luckily she didn't get this brave.....
The boys got kicked off the slide when the guests arrived.  We had the trampoline set up with a sprinkler underneath as well as a duel slip n slide and a small pool, but everyone preferred to wait in line for their turn on the slide.  It was so fun to watch them all come down squeezing their eyes shut! I was laughing about it, that is until I took my turn that night and realized just how much water splatters up at you.

These are 2 of E's friends from school, they looked like they were in a hot tub or something. So cute!
The first of E's friends to arrive along with cousin M. I wanted a pic of the whole group but that was just a pipe dream.

Elliott noticed she had her first wiggly tooth the day of the party! She is SO excited- she's been wiggling it like crazy, can't wait to see what the tooth fairy will bring.
P had a good time chillin on the porch with his grandparents and aunts and uncles

The pinata took FOREVER to break. Which was good since we had at least 20 kids to take turns. So they all got more than one chance
This was the face Ry gave me when I called her name.  I take back my comment about nobody having more fun than the boys. Once this kid got going she NEVER stopped.  After the party she just kept going down, climbing back up and doing it all over again.

Berk with the pinata- look at the strength!
 Ry's turn

The pinata broke and within one second there was a huge pile of kids on the ground. My niece Madison that's 9 couldn't even get close, her comment was "man, those little kids are animals!" Yes they are!

P scored a sucker- and got ANGRY when it was taken away
 Ahhhh. That's better!

First, love Patton with the sucker - precious!! The party looked like a blast - the kids looked very comfortable! Doesn't look like 108 out there!! So sad we missed it...hopefully we can get the girls together before school starts!
