Crazy Kids

I thought it would be fun to let Patton paint for the first time, capture it on canvas (and pictures) and have some things to hang upstairs.  We got everything all set up to go and Berkley was so excited to paint with him.  Now for the shocking part- Patton wasn't interested. Gasp. I couldn't believe it- being able to make a mess is his #1 must have with any activity.  Dude wasn't interested at all.  I am sitting there with my camera ready to capture this huge moment forever.  He just looks at me.  Chris shows him how to dip the paint brush in and put it on the canvas.  He takes a few swipes and looks around.  I go over and give him a different rolling brush to try. Crickets.  He gets up and goes to the garage to play.  I bring him back- he steps on the canvas- getting paint all over his feet but not adding any value to my desired Patton original masterpiece.  I take paint and put it all over his hand and make a hand print. I take paint and put it all over the canvas and show him how to smear it.  Nothing.  So now we have a canvas that was for all intents and purposes painted by me to hang in the playroom. And Patton is covered in paint. Well played son, well played.

Berkley however loved it and I got an AWESOME picture from her!
Rapunzel
Patton did have his first TBall lesson and he is a huge fan! I love this picture SO much!

My little turkey picking all the marsh mellows out of his lucky charms. Funny how quick they learn to do that.
 Kiss face!
This is how Patton lets us know he's done.  Nice huh? Yep- this highchair had straps, 2 girls ate in it and never ONCE stood up or tried to escape.  They got all nasty with food so sometime during Berkley's babyhood we cut them out.  Little did we know we had this guy on the way.  He also prefers to walk around with food- so he'll grab a little something for the road. We politely take it out of his hand and put him on the floor. He screams because he wants it, so we politely put him back in his seat. He gets it and stands up. Repeat process. He still doesn't get it. Or does he??
The girls and I went to see Disney Princesses on Ice.  Berkley was absolutely mesmerized. I thought she was going to have a heart attack at the end when all the princesses and princes skated out in their wedding clothes for the finale.  It was awesome! I told Chris we absolutely have to get this kid back to Disney World before she grows out of this princess love. We're back to wearing princess clothes everywhere we go again.
Me and my shadow. With a saggy baby diaper.
The girls love that the bubbles in our tub work again and they can get their bath bubbles all fluffed up. I remember that when I was little.

E's field trip was today- I got to go with her. It was a walking field trip because with budget cuts they don't allow k-2 to take the bus anymore.  The teachers were super creative and had them walk to the park and they had different lessons. One was finding bugs, these girls found at least 30 roly poly's. Gross.
Another favorite picture.  A fabulous squishy Patton kiss for Daddy!

Is it just me or does it look like Rapunzel had a purple arrow through her head? Super cute though, she did a great job! Love the story of Patton not interested in painting too and standing in his high chair! I see a future Rylee on your hands....no more laughing for you! Your time will come ;0)
