A couple weeks ago Elliott's school had a Family Fun Run and 5K. Chris and I ran the 5K and both got first place in the 30-39 range for men and women! Before you are too impressed with us I should point out a few things like that some people ran with their kids, and there were probably only 5 people that ran in that category. But you know what? Its the only time I have ever or will ever get a first place award for running so I will take it! After the 5k there was a 1 mile run. I was helping with that so Elliott ran with her friends and Chris ran (or should I say slowly meandered) with Berkley.

Chris and I after we ran- I deleted the pictures my friend took of me finishing. I wish I could delete the ones I was tagged in on FB, I surely don't ever want to see myself running again. Although I do look a little better than back when I played softball in high school and ran with my arms hanging down at my sides....

I thought she looked so stinking cute in her running clothes.. By the way- that is the cool thing to do with shirts in elementary school. Just to keep you up to date on the latest trends and fashions.
Elliott has gotten really into running lately. She actually wanted to run the 5K but she didnt' start talking about it until a couple days before and she hadn't trained at all. There were lots of hills and Chris and I planned on that being our workout for the day- so we didn't really feel like poking her along the whole way. Plus we wanted to win ;-) She has already started practicing for next year though!

Can you believe I did a whole entire post without a single picture of you- know-who? I realized the blog is a little heavy on pictures of Mr Chubby.....but I think my next post is all about him. He is just such a ham and there is so much to say about him!
