The Big Girl Bed

We were planning on keeping Berkley in her crib until she turned 5 after the fun we had with moving Elliott to her big bed a little after she turned 2.  She broke one of the slats on the crib rail so we had to get a new set for Patton anyway.  I was incredibly happy this happened because that furniture was all falling apart.  We got Patton his own stuff that converts to his big boy bed someday.  Anyway, since we didn't need the crib for Patton we were in no hurry to move Berk.  We randomly went in and looked at the furniture we had picked for her and found out it was being discontinued and the floor model was on sale for a great price.  We decided to go ahead and get it.  She was beyond excited.  To watch her little face as the man delivered her mattress was priceless. It came right as she was brushing her teeth for bed.  We quickly put the bedding on and she hopped in. Chris was attaching her mirror so it couldn't fall and she kept ordering "everybody get out of my room! I need to go to sleep!" And she did. No getting up, nothing. Right to sleep.  We checked on her at 9 and she looked so little in her huge bed sleeping on the pillow, tucked in nicely.  When I went in this morning to wake her up to take Elliott to school she was at the foot of the bed laying horizontally. Quite a distance to travel! We have rails on the sides but not the bottom!

Update on Patton

He is still snug as a bug. I am 38 weeks 2 days, I went to the Dr and I am almost dilated to a 2.  We are due Sunday the 30th.  I'd like to go into labor on my own, so we're going to wait and see.  We'll schedule an induction for the week after his due date if he decides to be stubborn.  Since he is my last baby :-( :-( :-( I am in no great hurry to kick him out, although I can't wait to meet him! Also, I need to get my hair done first ;-)
